The Cost of a Cristo Rey Education
A Cristo Rey Philadelphia education is funded in three ways: the Work-Study Program, Cristo Rey Scholarships, and Family Contribution.
The total cost of education per student per year is $22,000. The money a student earns at their Work-Study job funds a majority of the cost of their education ($9,500 per year per student, $38,000 for a team of four students).
Family contribution, the funds a student’s family pays, covers approximately 5% of the cost and is determined based on family need.
The gap between what each student earns and each family contributes is covered by the Cristo Rey Scholarship. Each student automatically receives the scholarship upon enrolling at Cristo Rey Philadelphia. The scholarship money is fundraised by the school from generous donors and signifies Cristo Rey’s investment in our students.
The Cristo Rey scholarship coupled with the funds each student earns on the job is what makes a Cristo Rey education affordable for our families.
