Summer Bridge

All incoming 9th graders attend a two-week Summer Bridge Program to support the transition from middle school to high school. During the two weeks, students are focused on preparing for their academic courses and their Work-Study experience. Students are deeply engaged in Math, Reading, and Leadership in Learning (executive functioning skills) classes. Students participate in professional studies classes that help prepare them for their year-long professional work experience. The Summer Bridge Program allows the students to cultivate a sense of belonging at Cristo Rey Philadelphia. They build relationships with faculty, staff, peers, and families in our community as they are introduced to our mission. We nurture and challenge every student so they are prepared for college and beyond.
